SAND HUTTON LIGHT RAILWAY
The Sand Hutton Light Railway was built by Sir Robert Walker to a gauge of 18" It ran for about 4.5 miles from Warthill on the Hull to York N.E.R. line to the village of Bossall on the Sand Hutton Estate.
The railway also had a branch of about 1 mile to Claxton Brickworks. The line opened in 1922 and was closed in 1930 when Sir Robert died.
The passenger coach was saved and has been renovated and
re-gauged to 2ft by the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway based near Skegness, Lincolnshire.
